In the midst of troubling times with Covid cases on the rise, we feel that the safety of the community, our employees and our valued customers is our absolute top priority at this time. We feel that it’s our responsibility to the community to confirm that ONE of our Margarita Factory Beaverton’s part time employees received a positive Covid-19 test on the 19th. This is a stand alone case and no other team members are showing symptons at the moment I writing this letter. This person got sick from outside of our restaurants.
We feel it’s important to note that the same employee received a NEGATIVE Covid test on June 11, 2020, and has not worked at the restaurant since Sunday June 14, 2020. This team member was made aware that somebody outside our Margarita Factory Beaverton family had tested positive and as a precaution went in to get tested. The team member was allowed to clock on only after providing a temperature reading below concerning levels each day.
A Covid test was retaken after symptoms were later shown, and a positive test was received on June 18, 2020. We have been forthcoming with the Health Department & our staff about the positive Covid test from day 1. The health department was contacted by Team member to give a report of test results & I have also contacted the health department We have not received any further direction at this time on how to further approach or handle this stand alone case and the health department is NOT requiring us to close.
However, we feel that it’s important for all our guests to know that we will continue to cooperate with CDC and Health Department guidelines.
Today we will be VOLUNTARILY closing and taking the day to continue to make our Covid processes better. And will re-open Monday at 2pm. This is choice we are making on our own. We have taken the time to post a Covid 19 Video with the promise to you all.
Having a 9 month old daughter, we know how important family is, and safety has always been our top concern at home. Margarita Factory Beaverton is our second home and deserves the same respect.
If you are in a high risk category, please remember to follow proper CDC guidelines to keep us and yourself safe. We thank our loyal customers and staff members for continuing to support us. Please see our safety guidelines in the video below.
